Student/ Research Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated student / research assistant

Application deadline is 31.07.2018
 
You will be involved in the project "NUCLEUS - a paradise for innovation". The project is an integral part of the two service centers of the FSU Jena and the EAH Jena and supports the knowledge and technology transfer at the Jena location significantly through new approaches of technology scouting and innovation management.
 
Priority task:
 
  • Collaboration in the development of a web presence as well as competition analysis and business model development for a software project
  • Assistance in the analysis and modeling of work processes in technology transfer and innovation management
  • Support in the creation of teaching materials
  • Support in the maintenance of an Internet presence
Requirements:
 
  • Completed a bachelor's degree in economics (or business administration, business informatics, business mathematics, innovation management, etc.) or similar
  • You are interested in technology transfer or innovation management
  • You have analytical skills coupled with creativity and curiosity
  • You have a safe handling of standard IT tools (Office, Content Management Systems, etc.)
  • You bring with you good visual, written and oral communication skills
  • You have at least good knowledge of German and English

The remuneration is based on the usual hourly rates for scientific assistants (BA). Severely handicapped people are given preference for equal qualifications, aptitude and professional qualifications.

Two Junior Software Developer / Ruby-on-Rails / PHP (Student Position)

We are looking for two students (10 hours a week), who are interested in developing exciting, experimental software in a team.

You should meet the following requirements:

  • Enjoy web development and attractive web applications 
  • Proven development experience with a web framework (we use Ruby-on-Rails or PHP)
  • Experience with distributed source control and project management tools (we use Mercurial and Redmine)
  • Interest in Clean Code Development

You can expect:

  • Extensive experience in web development
  • Agile, result-oriented project management 
  • A combination of attractive design and sophisticated functionality
  • Cooperation with the Fraunhofer IMW in Leipzig

Junior Analyst (Student Position)

We are looking for student assistants (10 hours a week) who are interested in collecting and analyzing data in the field of technology analysis.

Incoming Fellow (DAAD / Marie Curie)

We act as a hosting institutions for a DAAD, Marie Curie or alternative scholarship programs. Give us a try, if your research topic is in the context of technology transfer, intellectual property markets, or similar aspects in the innovation system and you intend to apply for an incoming scholarship from DAAD or others. We need your CV and a motivation letter from you to get a first impression from the research program we might host.
